Dr. Bert Mason

Dr. Bert Mason is a Professor of agricultural economics at California State University, Fresno, where he teaches and conducts research in agricultural labor relations, immigration policy and farm labor markets.  From 1999-2002, he served as a board member of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board.  He has held various positions at CSUF, including Director of the Center for Agricultural Business and Chair of the Department of Agricultural Economics.  Prior to joining the faculty at CSUF, he held positions with the Solar Energy Research Institute in Colorado, and was an assistant professor of agricultural economics at Cornell University.

Dr. Mason holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from U.C. Davis and a B.A. in Honors Economics from Stanford University.  He is a native of Lindsay, California where his family farmed oranges and olives.
