Dr. Michael Thomas brings 13 years of veterinary experience and over 10 years of teaching experience to his students. As campus veterinarian he has brought innovative multimedia teaching to his classroom and has conducted research in diagnosis of protozoal diseases of cattle. His research has led to the development of a diagnostic tool used by veterinarians the world over. Presently he is embarking on research in the area of food safety. He received his D.V.M. degree from Washington State University School of Veterinary Medicine. In 1998, Dr. Thomas was the recipient of the Provost's Excellence in Teaching Award in Educational Technology. This year, he was honored by the College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology as the Salgo-Noren recipient for excellence in teaching and advising.
