Our Mission The Department of Viticulture and Enology and the Viticulture and Enology Research Center provides world-class undergraduate and graduate education, research, and outreach programs in sustainable and value added viticulture and enology; nationally and internationally recognized faculty and research staff; and a rigorous academic program of study accompanied by practical, hands-on training, and a continuously evolving program of education for growers, packers, winemakers and processors.

Viticulture Faculty Position Announcement Viticulture Assistant/Associate/Professor (Tenure Track)/Conversion (ABD). This position is supported by the Bronco Wine Company. Candidates for the Bronco Chair will be on the Fresno State campus for meetings, presentations and interviews on the following dates. Groundbreaking Work Helps Farmers Harvest More Precisely: Graduate Student and Research Assistant Siva Sachidhanatham is featured in the November 2007 issue of the Fresno State Magazine. Siva also received first place at Research Symposium on Geo-spatial modeling of wine grape quality using GIS earlier this year.
