Paso Robles, CA. Located in Paso Robles, halfway between Monterey and Santa Barbara, Meridian Vineyards was established in 1988. The label was first created in 1984 by veteran winemaker Chuck Ortman, who spent the early part of his career as winemaker and consultant to several Napa and Sonoma wineries. Although the first Meridian wines were made from Napa fruit, Ortman was always intrigued by the emerging growing regions of Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, where vineyards in cool Region I and II climates were yielding Chardonnay and Pinot Noir of phenomenal quality. In 1988, Wine World Estates (now Beringer Wine Estates) invested in the four-year-old Meridian label, enabling Ortman to relocate to San Luis Obispo where he began to produce a variety of premium wines from the Santa Barbara County, Edna Valley and Paso Robles appellations. In 1994, Ortman hired Signe Zoller. Ten years later, Zoller is still making the wines from vineyards owned and farmed by Meridian. With an enology degree from Davis and eleven years experience under her belt, Zoller eagerly embraced the chance to work with Ortman at Meridian. Although Chardonnay is still Meridian's flagship varietal, Zoller has recently become known for her delicately balanced Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Delano, CA. Sunview's sister company, ASV Wines, Inc., operates two California wineries with one located in the central valley and one in the central coast and is the premier bulk wine supplier to major marketers.
Over fifty years ago, Marko Zaninovich recognized that the hot, arid climate and long, sunny days of California's southern San Joaquin Valley were ideal for growing quality table grapes. It was in the heart of this valley that he established the roots of Sunview. Combining this solid foundation with the talents of the founding father's second generation, the company has grown to become one of California's largest family-owned and operated table grape operations.
