This weekend getaway for two includes lodging on Friday and Saturday nights at the AAA Four Diamond Award-winning Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite, Friday evening wine reception and entertainment, three Saturday workshops featuring wine and food experts, and a five-course gourmet wine dinner on Saturday night masterfully prepared by Executive Chef Fred Clabaugh.  Fresno State award-winning wine and agricultural products will be featured throughout the weekend.

Relax and enjoy a glass of wine from Fresno State's award-winning winery, while listening to the President's Quintet from California State University, Fresno, a premier honors ensemble for highly talented music students.  A variety of food products produced by the University's farm will complement the evening's festivities.

Meet Fresno State's winemaster, winemaker, enology students, and many representatives from the university's farm enterprises.

FOOD AND WINE PAIRING WORKSHOP

featuring Chef Fred  Clabaugh, Tenaya Lodge & Ken Fugelsang, Winemaster, California State University, Fresno

This activity has become a popular weekend feature where the audience takes home useful tips on how to pair food and wine. This year's workshop will feature items that can be prepared for morning meals, such as breakfast and brunch.  Great ideas for entertaining your friends and family in your own home.

Food will be paired with wines, hand-crafted by viticulture and enology students at Fresno States award-winning winery, accompanied by an overview of the wines and the winemaking style presented by Ken Fugelsang and food preparation tips by Executive Chef Fred Clabaugh.

Back by popular demand, Clark Smith will lead this hands-on workshop where participants can be winemakers!  Teams will blend their own wine and enter their best vintage into the annual Fresno State Winemaster's Weekend Wine Judging Contest.  Winners to be announced during Saturday night's dinner on March 1.  Don't miss out on the learning and fun!

The evening includes an announcement of the Red Wine Blending Competition winning teams.
