Fresno State Vineyards and Wines

The winery and vineyard, located on the Fresno State campus, are used by the viticulture and enology teaching and research programs.  Students enhance their training by being exposed to equipment and operations that are typical of the environments they will encounter when they graduate.

California State University, Fresno is the first university in the United States of America with a license to produce, bottle, and sell wine.

Since 1997, the students and winemakers at Fresno State have produced several vintages from grapes grown both on- and off-campus.  Many of these wines have received top honors at state and international wine competitions.

Contact John Giannini at 278-WINE (9463) for more information on Fresno State wines or visit the winery's website at www.FresnoStateWinery.com.

Fresno State wines can be purchased online, at the Fresno State Farm Market, or at various locations within the Fresno-Clovis area.

Raisins and table grapes are available seasonally at the Fresno State Farm Market and at local retailers including Whole Foods Market in Fresno's Fig Garden Village.
